It's Just Peachy!

In partnership with TheFruit Bowl

Please join us for a delicious and informative class on summer’s most delicious fruit, the peach. We will venture out to The Fruit Bowl on Waterloo Road and owner Ralph Lucchetti will give us a short lesson about peaches. It was the peach originally grown by Ralph’s parents that started The Fruit Bowl in 1947! After our discussion, you will have time to shop and then we will go back to the cooking school. Chef John will prepare a delicious peach French toast and I will have Bellinis for you. After brunch, we will make a peach strudel for you to take home and bake.

All ingredients provided. You will need to bring a sheet pan for your strudel. I will supply the parchment and will have sheet pans for purchase if you do not have one. Please let me know when registering

This class will give you some new ideas to create everyone’s favorite meal. Milk Street Kitchen often uses tacos to illustrate their theory of cooking which includes foundation, counterpoint , and embellishments.  You will be able to translate this theory of cooking to your own home cooking adventures. We will feast on all of the creations along with a Margarita!

Pasta Perfect. In this hands on- interactive class, you will learn the theory of different cooking times for pasta based upon the sauce and the dish. Teams of two students will prepare two pasta dishes and two dishes will be demonstrated. We will taste each pasta and finish with a light meal and a glass of wine. 

Menu: Pasta Amatriciana, Cacio a Pepe,  Pesto Genovese, and a pasta dish created by each team of students.

Many of us associate the winter holidays with ravioli! Learn to make fabulous ravioli and other filled pasta in this hands on class. Our instructor  is Chef Danica Aviles.  She is a master at making all types of pastas and sauces to brighten up holiday meals.
